Prevent before you have to cure.

Anyone that's battled a health issue knows, it puts into perspective the simple things that you take for granted.

A trivial example is when you get a blocked nose - all of a sudden you appreciate that basic feeling of having a clear nose.

When it comes to the bigger picture of health, yes, there are issues that are unavoidable, and people can have poor luck.

However, there is plenty that is within our control. Here there are a few words I like to live by:

Long-term consistency trumps short-term intensity.

Everything in moderation, including moderation itself.

Just keep putting points on the board.

Show gratitude for good health.

Prevent before you have to cure.
