Cravings.

My approach to cravings is simple...

Crush them as soon as they arise.

An extract from my book:

"Specific cravings can also arise as your body’s way of telling you that you’re not satisfying its need for a certain nutrient. Low carbohydrate diets can lead to sugar cravings. Restricting your salt intake too much can lead you to crave salty (often fast) foods."

"Firstly, try to adjust your diet, based on the specific things you crave to ensure you’re giving your body what it needs. Alternatively, as I like to say, plug them. My personal approach to cravings is like a game of whack-a-mole. Once they start to arise, I whack them back down like a mole, satisfying them as soon as possible. The longer cravings linger, the harder you’re going to have to hit them to alleviate them."

To keep yourself moving forward on a sustainable lifestyle, you have to give your body what it needs.

And when you do give it what it needs, or you consume something that doesn't directly line up with your goals, ENJOY IT AND MOVE ON!!!

If you're taking a small deviation and don't enjoy the moment, or you let guilt over-ride you, it's a lose-lose.

Instead, make it a win-win, crush the craving, let it satisfy you, enjoy it, and keep the train rolling.
