Your unfair advantage.

We all have an unfair advantage... you just might not have found it yet.

An unfair advantage is something you possess that sets you ahead of the rest in a given field.

For example, if you are genetically gifted with an amazing physique - you will have an unfair advantage in the fitness industry.

You may have been blessed with communication skills that mean you can converse and network with people like its second nature - this is an unfair advantage.

And it doesn't have to be something you're born with... the fact that I developed IBS (through misprescribed antibiotics) and was forced to overcome the issue myself leaves me with an unfair advantage to help people do the same. Because this level of knowledge can't be come by unless you face the issue.

Although this was the worst 12 months of my life, it's now become a blessing - as I've been gifted the chance to help others face an extremely difficult issue.

I firmly believe that those that are most successful have found and honed in on their unfair advantage - because the odds are simply in their favour.

Landing yourself in a position to exploit your unfair advantage isn't easy to come by, it may take years in fact - but it's something I highly recommend that you stay conscious of.

It may be immediately obvious, it may take years of self-discovery... but it's in there somewhere.

Should you find it, do whatever it takes to put yourself in a position to use it - whether that be landing a role that allows you to do so, or developing a team around you leaving you free to do what you do best.
