One foot in order, one foot in chaos.

A quote from Jordan Peterson's 12 Rules for Life:

"You can’t just be stable, and secure, and unchanging, because there are still vital and important new things to be learned. Nonetheless, chaos can be too much.".

"Thus, you need to place one foot in what you have mastered and understood and the other in what you are currently exploring and mastering.".

What can be learned from this?

We must root ourselves in what we know works for us, whilst keeping one foot in the "chaos" and exploring what else is out there.

Don't stray too far from what you know, make small changes one at a time to explore and uncover what works for you - without creating too much chaos.
