A personal reflection, and an update on my YouTube journey.
In recent months I've been pushing YouTube, hard.
It's been tough, I'll admit. But there's one key driving force dictating how the journey is unfolding, and that's failure.
With each incremental failure more is being learnt.
Almost like completing a puzzle without a photo for reference, placing the correct pieces in and seeing the picture start to unfold before your eyes.
And as you complete more, pieces start to jump out that fill the holes, until finally...
The picture becomes clear.
Last Friday, the picture became clear.
I turned on a voice memo and emptied my mind into the phone, I was going about it all wrong and I knew it which is why I only posted a podcast that week.
A pivot was needed in a new direction.
Firstly, I was separating my audience.
You didn't know what to expect; gut health videos, videos about finding balance, habits and routines, mindset videos, vlogs, podcasts...
Plus, it's been a lot of fun in cases, but it just hasn't felt right...
I want to fall in love with the videos I make, and for them to truly reflect what goes on behind the scenes.
I don't want to "pump out" two videos a week plus a podcast on Sunday's.
I don't want to "curate" videos that aren't representative of who I am and the life I lead.
I don't want to feel like I "have to" creating videos, rather "get to".
What I really want to document is a realistic inside view of the journey that I'm on in a fun and creative way - providing you, the audience, with value and entertainment along the way.
So... if you want to follow my journey building live. and navigating being a 23-year old entrepreneur - feel free to subscribe to my main channel where I'll post one creative video a week about that journey.
If you're looking for gut health specific content, you'll now find that over on the live. YouTube channel.
And don't worry if you've been enjoying the podcasts, they'll still be coming out as often as I can! I just released a new one with Pedro about balance, sacrifice, and perfectionism.
Another chapter in the journey!
